Almost there...

Here is a sneak peak of our kitchen with the new countertops... We are still trying to decide on a back splash... What do you think so far?

Decisions, decisions....

David and I are having a hard time choosing tile for our back splash. Its just too hard to decide when you can't see the finished product before its finished. We found a kitchen that has white cabinets and black countertops to get visual of the colors together. What do you think of the backsplash tile???

We finally did it...

David and I put 50% down on our new granite countertops yesterday. We picked Black Pearl for the color and cannot wait to see the difference it will make in our kitchen. They come out to measure on Tuesday 9/1 and in order for them to get accurate measurements we have to tear out our contertops and sink before hand.. After measuring to create the countertop template, it will take 2-3 weeks for them to install. Guess what that means? NO KITCHEN/SINK for 2-3 weeks. YIKES! J&J I hope you don't mind our company for dinner!!! LOL

Whats a mother to do?!?!?!

I caught Chewee our 10 1/2 yr old (doggie years) chewing tobacco yesterday. He was trying to hide it from me. I am soooo upset, I never thought my baby would get into that BAD stuff... LOL

Portabella Pizza...

Tonight I made these delightful portabello pizzas. If you're craving pizza and can't "afford" the bread for whatever reason. Try this recipe!

~Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
~Place mushroom (stem removed) on a baking sheet, and bake for 5 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from oven.
~Put a thin layer of spinach and sprinkle with garlic powder
~Top with mozzarella cheese, green pepper, thinly sliced tomatoes, yellow peppers, jalapenos, or whatever your sweet little heart desires...
~Bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden.

You can also put a layer of pizza sauce first but the portabello is kind of runny as it is, so David and I warm up some pizza sauce and put it on the side. If you do not want pizza sauce, its DELISH without it as well...
Enjoy!!!
